Roses & Castles, traditional narrowboat painting. Does anyone know? - narrowboat painting
When the English and Welsh canals for transportation, horse drawn barges traditional motorized Butty were used, had hand-painted roses and castles in the doors and walls. Does anybody know where the idea of roses on the origin and why they are castles in the doors?
The castle, which is not in our historical past, but appear more like castles in Austria or Germany, the fans do not have any ideas or links?
